Tasnim Khalid

Tasnim Khalid is the CEO of My Probate Solicitors and is a successful entrepreneur in her own right with several business interests. Tasnim has acted for private clients since 2005 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2009. She has over 15 years of experience dealing with the administration of estates.

Tasnim is also a qualified “TEP” (Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner) with STEP. Throughout her career, Tasnim has dealt with all aspects of Private Client work and predominantly act for individuals whether dealing with Probate and estate administration and general estate and tax planning requirements. Tasnim has dealt with and acted for personal representatives in hundreds of estates worth between £10,000 – £50,000,000. She often acts as a trustee and personal representatives in estates. She has an in depth understanding of the probate and inheritance tax rules and procedures.

Tasnim has been ranked highly in the Chambers UK 2023 High Net Worth Guide private wealth law category and has been for seven consecutive years and is also recognised in the Legal 500. Tasnim has won several awards and often gives back to the community with her charitable work.

Jean Warde

Jean has worked for many years as a Partner in a leading law firm in Manchester and has had a strong career in managing teams and being instrumental in their establishment and progression, along with being heavily involved in the development of the in-house case management system. She specialises in people management and driving operational processes to improve efficiency.

Paul Gotch

Paul primarily advises high-net-worth clients including wealthy families (across the generations), business owners, media personalities and sport professionals on their estate planning requirements.

Paul also advises elderly and vulnerable clients; and provides specialist estate planning advice to clients who are awarded large personal injury and clinical negligence settlements.

Paul acts as a professional Executor, Attorney and Trustee for a number of his clients; and works closely with other industry professionals (including financial advisors, accountants and other solicitors) to ensure that his clients are provided with well-rounded and holistic advice.

Paul is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), he is a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and he is a member of the Law Society’s Private Client Section.

Nicola Walker

Nicola is a Partner in the team and has over 15 years’ experience at international and national law firms and is recognised in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for her expertise.

Nicola deals with all aspects of Private Client work relating to death and mental capacity, whether that be wills, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, court of protection matters, or the creation of trusts. She has a following of domestic and international clients and is highly regarded in the Manchester market. She is well connected to leading Counsel and other professionals.

She predominantly acts for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals whether dealing with Probate and estate administration (including cross-border estates) or the preparation of wills, trusts and lifetime planning, however, she believes that everyone, regardless of their wealth, deserves good private client advice.

She provides general succession, inheritance tax and asset protection planning to multiple generations of families as well as creating and administering onshore trusts and providing advice to trustees.

She also prepares and registers Lasting Powers of Attorney with the Office of the Public Guardian and is happy to act as a certificate provider. She provides advice in respect of the creation and ongoing use of such documents in a personal and business context.

She manages a range of court of protection matters for both lay and professional deputies and is experienced in obtaining statutory Wills.

She acts as a professional deputy, executor, trustee, and attorney for many clients and has been independently appointed by the Court in numerous contentious matters (COP and Estates).

Nicola is a qualified ‘TEP’ (Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner) and in May 2022 was elected as Chair of the STEP Manchester Branch having sat on the committee for many years. She served two years as Chair, retiring from the committee in May 2024. In previous years she has also sat on the Manchester Law Society Private Client Committee.

She is ranked in Chambers & Partners UK High Net Worth Guide.

She is a recommended individual in the Legal 500.

She was shortlisted for the Made in Manchester 2021 Lawyer of the Year award.

Despite her legal credentials, she has not lost her Boltonian roots and prides herself on cutting through legal jargon and providing clients with personable and honest advice. She regularly goes the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction.

Ryan Lewis

Ryan formerly co-founded a boutique wealth management practice called Nestor in 2005.  Having recently sold his practice, Ryan moved from financial services to legal services and joined Private Client Solicitors.

Ryan brings a wealth of financial and business development experience to the practice and ensures that his skills are used to enhance the client journey at My Probate Solicitors. Ryan has worked with professional advisors across the UK by not only dealing with client matters but seminars, conferences and charity events too – and the occasional golf day and ski trip.

Ryan’s is well renowned in the professional services world and his expertise will support new and existing clients of the firm.

Alvin Oliva

Alvin has over 20 years’ experience working in roles in project management, operations, continuous improvement and quality development. Alvin has been instrumental in setting up the IT infrastructure and A.I and is leading the company’s pursuit of innovation for the betterment of clients.
